Welcome all my amazing sisters,
I am very honored to serve and represent an incredible organization full of intelligent and extraordinary women. This past summer I had the privilege of attending our convention and it was truly such a treat to get a small glimpse of the incredible women that we are connected with. It has energized me to help to make sure our group remains strong socially and most importantly we continue to support our Foundation so we can continue to change lives through Service for Sight and scholarships for sisters during times of need.
I truly never knew how much Delta Gamma would affect me after college. From the moment I starting coming to my first Alumnae event (and yes I was nervous and didn’t know a single soul – gosh almost felt like rush all over again), I was embraced by our sisters with open arms. I have found myself sharing special moments of my life with them from work accomplishments and family endeavors to personal tragedy and heart break. I have a sister to lean on in times of turmoil and a sister who shows up front row during an award recognition. We are mothers, wives, girlfriends, friends, colleagues, mentors, mentees… sisters… we are all very different, from very different parts of the world, from very different backgrounds, but what remains the same are the values we share.
I hope that in the middle of your crazy life, you can find some time to share a part of you with each of us and allow us to share a part of us with you. I believe that we all owe it to ourselves and to our sisters to be involved in our Alumnae chapter. Remember we made a promise… For Hope. For Strength. For LIFE. I look forward to meeting you all and look forward to another fun and inspiring year.
